H. Fargason, age 81, one of Clay county's aged and highly respected citizens, died at his home in the Mellow Valley community early Tuesday morning, following a stroke of paralysis several days ago. Mr. Fargason was one of the leading farmers of his community and a leader in his own church. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at McDaniel's Chapel with Rev. F. J. Ingram, Rev. E.E. Laney, Rev. F. J. Ingram and Judge E.J. Garrison, each having parts in the program. Interment was in the church cemetery, Blair directing. The deceased is survived by his widow and two sons and two daughters: Durel Fargason, Ashland, R. Walt Fargason, Cragford, Mrs. J. M. McLain, Cragford, R. 1, and Miss Lela Fargason, Cragford, R.1. Active pallbearers were Noah and Ernest Fargason, Herbert and Durel Fargason, Eugene and Howard Mc Lain. Honorary pallbearers were: Jas Wood, Herbert Baker, W. R. Jordan, J.L. Fullbright, J. A. W.
