Anniston Star
Garrett Forbus, 72, of Lineville, Rt. 2, died Sunday at Regional Medical Center 
after a short illness. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist 
Church with the Rev. A. O. Burdette and the Rev. Charlie Moore officiating. 
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville 
in charge. Survivors include his wife, Berta Forbus of Lineville; two daughters, 
Mrs. Charles Perry and Mrs. Wayne Prestridge, both of Lineville; a son, Buford 
Forbus of Anniston; his mother, Mrs. Julia Forbus of Lineville; seven 
grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Forbus was a native and lifelong 
resident of Clay County and a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church. He was type 
moulder. The body will remain at the funeral home until the time of services.
