Mrs. Julie Forbus, widow for the past 66 years of Hilmon Forbus, carried on farming and homemaking after the death of her husband, a Lineville farmer. Her parents, the late James Tolen Mitchell and Carrie Newsome Mitchell, were believed to be among Clay County's original services for Mrs. Forbus will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Clay County with the Rev. A.O. Burdette, the Rev. Wayne Stevens and the Rev. Richard East officiating. Burial will be in adjoining cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge. The body will be at the funeral home until one hour prior to Mrs. Forbus died at the Lineville Geriatrics Center where she had been Jor the past six years. Survivors include three daughters-in-law, Mrs. Verta Forbus and Mrs. Mae Forbus, both of Lineville, and Mrs. Velma Forbus Gray of Anniston; nine grandchildren, 28 great- grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Herbert Forbus, Albert Forbus, Calvin Harris Ernest Sims, Arnold Clark and Grady Harris. Mrs. Forbus, born Julie Mitchell in 1876, was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church in Clay County.
