Birtye the youngest son, was taken from us. He was jumping center of the basketball team of Mechanicsville School. His suffering was of short duration, but he bore it patiently and submissively. Neither we nor the family little dreamed that the end was so near until grim sickness seized him or October 11, at the Mechanicsville school....
