Services for Burrell Freeman, 78, of Talladega will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at 
Mannings Chapel in Clay County with the Rev. E. T. Meacham and the Rev. D. Hurst 
officiating. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Usrey Funeral Home in 
charge. Mr. Freeman died Monday at Citizens Hospital. Survivors include his 
wife, Mrs. Mae H. Freeman of Talladega; two daughters, Mrs. Naomi F. Herd of 
Talladega and Mrs. Peggy Staley of Chicago, Ill, three sons, C. B. Freeman and 
Billy Joe Freeman, both of Talladega, and Lynn E. Freeman of Washington; a 
sister, Mrs. Ada Watts of Clay County; a brother, Wright Freeman of Talladega; 
25 grandchildren and 15 great-: grandchildren. Pallbearers will be nephews.  Mr. 
Freeman was a native of Clay. County and a resident of Talladega for the past 50 
years. He was a member of Mannings Chapel Methodist Church and a retired farmer 
and merchant.
