Anniston Star
Jordan Levi Freeman, 71, of 709 N. Ledbetter SW Anniston, a retired employe of 
Anniston Manufacturing died Wednesday at Anniston Memorial Hospital after a long 
illness. Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at United Freewill Baptist 
Church with the Rev. Carl Presley officiating. Burial will be in Concord Baptist 
Cemetery in Clay County with Gray Brown-Service Mortuary in charge. Survivors 
include his wife, Mrs. Janie Mae Freeman of Anniston; a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Wells 
of Burgaw, N.C., sister, Mrs. Paul Mendenhall of San Antonio, a brother, Charles 
Freeman of Rome, and four grandchildren. A native of Clay County, he was a 
resident of Calhoun County for the past 25 years and a member of United Freewill 
Baptist Church. The body will remain at the residence until services.
