Ashland Progress
Mrs. Mary Freeman, 85, of West Spring Street, Talladega, died at the residence 
about 7:45 o'clock Saturday night following a lengthy illness. Funeral services 
were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from Concord Baptist Church in Clay 
County, Burial was in adjoining cemetery. Mrs. Freeman formerly resided in Clay 
County but had lived the past several years in Talladega. Her survivors include 
four sons, Arthur, Lee, Burl and Wright Freeman, all of Talladega; one daughter, 
Mrs. Silas Watts, of Pyriton, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
