Garrett, and daughter of Mr. W. W. and Margaret Payne was born Oct 6th, 1866, and after some weeks of illness and much suffering departed this life at her home at Oak Lone March 8, 1893. She left a devoted husband, two little babes and many relatives and friends to mourn her loss. She joined the Baptist church at Good Hope in 1881. and was baptized by Elder T. H. Howle after which she lived a devoted Christian. She was married to Mr. Jno Harris 24th of March 1887. and was an obedient wife till the day of his death. the was left a widow with one little child, after which She lived with her father and mother, performing the part of a dinful child that she had ever been. She was married to Elder W.M. Garrett Feb. 1, 1891, and was of the most devoted companions and loving mothers, until death called her to her enteral home The writer knew her from child, and oftentimes have I spoken of her ---ring faith, her contance love, her patience and fortitude, both as a wife and mother. She was interred in the Bethel Cemetery March 9th. 1893. the services being conducted by Elders W.H. Preston and T. H. Howle. the funeral was preached on Sunday the 12th, by Elders W.H. Preston and J. D. Johnson from John 5, 28, 29 to a very large congregation. To the bereaved husband we commend the following lines hoping in them he may find, some consolation.
