Ashland Progress
Mrs. Ellen Elizabeth Gautney, 80, a resident of Cragford route, passed away at 
her home Oct. 26. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. K. V. McDonald and 
Rev. O. C. Nichols Saturday, Oct 28 at Shiloh Baptist Church. Blair Funeral 
Directors were in charge of arrangements and burial was in Shiloh Cemetery. One 
son, John E. Gautney and one sister, Mrs. Linnie J. Murphy and several nieces and 
nephews survive. Pallbearers were James Coleman, Bill Swan, Henry Stone, Jr., 
Adron Hanner, Artford Anderson, Everett Short.
