Gentry, 75, of 103 Curry Talladega, died Thursday at 12:30 p.m. at Oxford, Rt. 2, after a short illness. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Concord Baptist Church in Clay County with the Revs. Gerstle Fuller, Lubie Lipham, and William officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Gray Brown-Service Mortuary in charge. she is survived by six sons, Clyde of Metaire, La., Richard of Collegeville, William and Carl of Oxford, Creston of Talladega and Eugene of Huntsville, three daughters Annie Burgess of Oxford, Mrs. Flora Dutton of Dalton, Ga., and Mrs. Wilma Oliver of Ashland; one half- brother, Charlie Gentry of Centre; three sisters, Mrs. Florence Garmon of Calhoun, Mrs. Lillie Lee of Dalton, and Mrs. Flora Butler of Centre: 22 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be J. C. Jerry Sellers, Buster Devine and Curtis Self. Mrs. Gentry had lived in Cherokee County most of her! life but had lived at Talladega the past three years. Baptist Mission The body will lie in state at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Annie Burgess at Oxford, Rt. 2, until it is taken to the church an hour before services.
