David Holcombe officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Poplar Springs Cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home in charge. The family will receive ' friends until service time today at the funeral home. Mr. Gill died Monday at Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center in Anniston. Survivors include six daughters, Marjorie Ann Campbell of Ashland, Dorothy Ann Baker of Talladega, Geraldine Nimon of Wedowee, Mary Ethel Baker of Lineville, Katherine McCollum of Cragford, and Cecelia Wesson of Prattville; two sons, Robert Eugene Gill of Cragford, and Billy Wayne Gill of Ashland; four sisters, Vernell Turley of Ashland, Frances Turley and Mary Ethel Austin of Cleburne County, and Ola Jean Voss of Mississippi; a brother, Harmon Lester Gill of Cleburne County; 35 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, and a great-great- grandchild. Mr. Gill, a Clay County native and lifelong resident, was a Baptist. He had been employed at Wakefield Lumber Company.
