Roanoke Leader
Mrs. Minnie Martin Gilley, age 86, Wedowee Star Route, passed away in the 
hospital in Wedowee Sunday afternoon, May 19, at 3:20. Mrs. Gilley is survived by 
four daughters, Mrs. Joe Taylor of Roanoke, Mrs. Albert Lipham of Lineville, Mrs. 
Ezra Lipham of Wedowee, and Mrs. Wayman Clifton of Lineville; 23 grandchildren 
and 28 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Gilley were conducted 
Monday afternoon at three o'clock from the New Harmony Church, Cragford, with the 
Rev. Mr. Craft and the Rev. Mr. Martin officiating. Quattlebaum's Funeral Home 
directed.
