Glass answered the final summons at his home here, following an extended illness. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Glass. He was born and reared in Clay County and spent most of his life of 68 years in and near Ashland. A few years ago, he with his family, moved to Oklahoma, where he resided about 11 years. He and his wife returning to Ashland in 1940. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs.5 Roy Davidson of Birmingham; four sons, J. of Ashland; Aubrey of Talladega; Fred and Roy of California; and one sister, Mrs. W. Otis Woods of Sulligent, and a large number of relatives. He was a devoted member and faithful to his church as long as his health would permit Funeral services were held at the Methodist church, where he held his membership, on Tuesday afternoon at four o'clock conducted by past, Rev. C. L. Ellis, assisted by Rev. J. J. Paschal of Millerville and Judge E. J. Garrison, a life-long friend. Interment was in the Olive Branch cemetery with Blair in charge. Active pallbearers were K. J. White, W. B. Levie, Grover Pace, B. M. Runyan, C. W. McKay and J. S. Gay, Jr. Honorary pallbearers were W. A. Kitchens, W. L. Runyan, A. L. Hardegree, T. Grizzle, Ed Elliott, E. R. Rozelle, J. N. Swift, J. Y. Allen and Herbert Pace.
