H. Glass, a well-known and highly respected citizen of Ashland beat, died at his home four miles west of Lineville Wednesday morning and his remains were laid to rest in the Lineville cemetery Thursday morning. The funeral services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. W. J. Ray, of Ashland. The deceased had been in ill health for several months and his death was not unexpected. He had been a member of the Lineville Baptist church for many years but a few years ago moved his membership to the Ashland Baptist church. At the time of his death, he was about 63 years of age. During his life he pursued the even tenor of his way and was a good father, husband and citizen. He is survived by a widow and several sons and daughters.
