Goodman, who died at his home 12 miles west of Boaz on Friday, December 29th, following a short illness The deceased was a son of Elder H. H. Goodman of Ashland, and was reared in this community, having removed to Boaz abought 8 years ago. The funeral service was conducted by Elder B. B. Finley, after which the remains of this Christian gentleman were interred in the nearby cemetery. The deceased was a member of the Providence Primitive Baptist church. Besides his father, the deceased is survived by his wife, four sons, Alton of Ashland, Garland of Enterprise, Herschel of Horton, George Linton of Boaz; three daughters, Mrs. Lamar Wardlaw and Misses Annie Pearl and Wandaree of Boaz. He is also survived by one brother, Ellison Goodman of LaGrange, and seven sisters, Mrs. B. Denney of Ashland, R. 1, Mrs. Alice Hamil of West Point, Mrs. Ula Waldrop of Kellyton, Mrs. Lera Denney of Ashland R. Mrs. Grace Morris of Ashland R. Mrs. Mattie Lee Cotney of Winter Garden, Fla. and Mrs. Eunice Garrett of Riverview.
