Ashland Progress
Little Earl Byers Goodson, two months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl D. Goodson of 
Ashland Rt. 1, died at the residence on December 18th, after an illness of only 
two days. Funeral services were held at Mt. Gilead church, conducted by the Rev. 
Whitley. Interment was in the church cemetery, directed by White. He is survived 
by his parents and a number of relatives. Pallbearers were four uncles.
