C. Graben, well known. citizen of the Barfield community, died suddenly while visiting at the home of his son last Friday. Mr. Graben was 64 years of age and is survived by his wife, five sons and five daughters. The sons are: S. J., Felix, John, Fred and Conrad, all of Lineville. The daughters are: Mrs. L. B. Hendrix, Mrs. W. M. Hendrix, Mrs. W. C. Sides, Mrs. J. E. Sides, all of Lineville, and Miss Mary Graben of Birmingham. Funeral services were held at the Barfield Baptist Church on Sunday with Revs. C. B. Martin, W. R. Ingram and B. W. Mathews taking part. Interment was in the Barfield cemetery with Blair directing. Active pallbearers were John Sides, Corbett Sikes, Wyatt Hendrix, Lucious Hendrix, Thomas Graben, Felix Hendrix. Honorary pallbearers were J. L. Denson, A. C. Yates, Frank Haynie, Elmer Cole, J. B. Crews, Elvin Mathews, J. W. Smith, Howard Lee, J. O. Denson and Jesse McCollum.
