Services for Louis J. Graben, 92, of Lineville, Rt. 1, will be today at 2 p.m. 
at Barfield Baptist Church with Rev. Clarence Wood and Rev. O.L. Moody 
officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home 
of Lineville in charge. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until an 
hour prior to services and one hour at the church. Mr. Graben died Friday at the 
Lineville Nursing Facility. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mattie Graben of 
Lineville; two sons, Thomas Graben of Lineville and Herman Graben of Goodwater; 
two sisters, Mrs. Irene Sides of Birmingham and Mrs. Mary Bowen of Fayetteville, 
N.C.; two brothers, John Graben and Conrad Graben, both of Lineville; seven 
grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; and a 
host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Tony Graben, Andy Graben, Novice 
Grabe Clyde Graben, Randy Mitchell, and Jeffrey Smith. Mr. Graben was a native 
and lifelong resident of Clay County, a retired merchant and minister and a 
member of Barfield Baptist Church.
