Anniston Star
Services for John Graben, 88, of Lineville, were today at Barfield Baptist 
Church in Lineville with the Rev. Clarence Wood and the Rev. Randy Morris 
officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of 
Lineville in charge. Mr. Graben died Saturday at Lineville Nursing Facility. 
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Marie Harris, Mrs. Jeanette Steen and 
Mrs. Carolyn Smith, all of Lineville. Mrs. Betty Pool of Summerville. Ga., and 
Mrs. Helen Norred of Ashland; three sons, Henry F. Graben of Bowdon, Ga., Billy 
Joe Graben and Jack Graben. both of Lineville; a sister, Mrs. Irene Sides of 
Birmingham; a brother, Conrad Graben of Lineville; 27 grandchildren; 28 great-
grandchildren; and two great-greatgrandchildren. Pallbearers were Danny Graben, 
Paul Graben, Michael Smith. James Norred, Jeffrey Pool, Ryan Bailey, Brian Steen 
and Larry Harris. Honorary pallbearers were grandsons and grandson-in-laws. Mr. 
Graben was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County. He was a retired 
carpenter and a member of Barfield Baptist Church.
