Anniston Star
Services for W.L. "Joe" Graben, 75, of Roanoke, were today at 2 p.m. at 
Quattlebaum Funeral Home with the Revs. Cecil Halsey and Bernard Fuller 
officiating. Burial was in Barfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Clay County. Mr. 
Graben died Saturday at his home. Survivors include his wife, Lena East Graben of 
Roanoke; two daughters, Jean Graben of Huntsville and Gail Graben Dean of Dover, 
N.H.; a brother, Sanford Delyn Graben of Oxford; and a granddaughter, Susan Dean 
of Dover. Pallbearers were Dennis East, Ed Mitchell, Jerry Harris, Keith Graben 
and Daniel Graben. A Clay County native, Mr. Graben was an Army veteran of World 
War II and was owner and operator of a gasoline station.
