Services for Mrs. Elsie M. Grant, 74, of Lineville were today at Bellview 
Baptist Church with the Rev. Lawrence Pate officiating. Burial was in the church 
cemetery with Benefield Funeral Home of Lineville in charge.
Mrs. Grant died Thursday at Clay County Hospital. Survivors include a daughter. 
Mrs. Judy McNeal of Lineville; a son. William K. Grant of Vero Beach, Fla.; a 
sister, Mrs. Cassie Spurlin of Lineville; two brothers. Woody McVey and Verner 
McVey. both of Lineville; a half-sister, Mrs. Pearl Laurent of Newnan. Ga.: and 
seven grandchildren. Pallbearers were Woodie Jones. Herman McVey, Dwight McVey, 
Mike Spurlin, Roger McVey and Edward McVey. Mrs. Grant was a Clay County native 
and a former resident of Vero Beach, Fla. She returned to Clay County in 1982. 
Mrs. Grant was a homemaker and a member of Bellview Baptist Church.
