Edward C. "Buster" Gravette, 89, of Ashland were Wednesday al Clay County Funeral 
Home with Revs. Randall Ingram, A.O. Burdette and Keith Jones officiating. Burial 
was in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Gravette died Monday at Dr. C.P. Horn 
Clay County Nursing Home. Survivors include three daughters, Winnette Haynes of 
Oxford, and Ailene Wood and Linda Hampton, both of Birmingham; three sons, Marvin 
Gravette of Arab, Kenneth Gravette of Ashland and DeWitt Gravette of Lineville; a 
sister, Lucille Malcolm of Lithonia, Ga.; 13 grandchildren and 19 great-
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice Ray Gravette. 
Pallbearers were grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Dr. CP. Horn 
Clay County Nursing Home.
