Ashland Progress
Mr. James David Lonzo Gray, age 82, passed away August 25 at Clay County 
hospital. Mr. Gray was for many years a resident in the Olive Branch community, 
where he was deacon of the church. Later he and wife moved to Ashland where they 
have made their home for a long time. Funeral services were held August 26, at 
the Olive Branch Church with Rev. Elom Mattox officiating by Rev. Webb Brooks and 
Rev. C. R. Harrington with Blair in charge. Interment was in adjoining cemetery. 
He is survived by his wife and one son. Pallbearers were E. G. Whatley, Hubert 
Thompson, J. W. Sentell, Whitson Brooks, Curtis Childs and Lester Gilbert.
