The circumstances are understood to be that he left his home at noon Friday intending to go to Jordan's mill 2 1/2 miles away and then return to a new ground on his farm to work the remainder of the afternoon. Upon his failure to return to the house at night a search was begun and on the following morning he was found lying dead in the field near his home. It is said that he was subject to convulsions and his family and friends suppose that apoplexy or some similar trouble caused his death. His body showed no signs of a struggle. He was about 50 years of age and leaves a wife and three children. He was buried at Bethany graveyard near which he lived. Additional Comments: He married Lucy Jones.
