Ashland Progress
Mrs. Griffin, wife of G. L. Griffin, died at her home on Route 2, Wednesday, May 
13, after an Illness of several weeks. She was forty-eight years of age and had 
been in ill health for several years. She leaves a husband and six children - 
three sons and three daughters to mourn the loss of a faithful Christian wife and 
mother. The funeral services were held at Pole Bridge, where for many years the 
deceased had beer, a loyal member of the Baptist church. Mr. Griffin desires 
through the columns of The Progress to express to the neighbors and friends of 
the family, grateful appreciation for the many kindnesses shown Mr. Griffin 
during her illness.
