H. Griffin deceased, passed on Thursday afternoon. March 7. 1935. She and W. H. Griffin were married on December 9, 1875. Had Mrs. Griffin lived until October 24, she would have been seventy-nine years of age. Born to her were five children four girls and one boy. Mrs. William Hobbs, who has passed on, Mrs. N. H. Todd of Sylacauga, Mrs. Mack Caldwell of Goodwater, Mrs. Ira Roberts and Geo. L. Griffin. Mrs. Griffin has been a member of Clairmont Springs church for a number of years. Her motto being, "The way to have a neighbor is to be one" Rev. Frank Ingram and Rev. Homer Roberts conducted the funeral service. Her remains were buried in Sardis cemetery March 9. Pallbearers, Marshall Hobbs, Ocola Griffin, Bernice Roberts, Buford Griffin, Bill Roberts, Claud Caldwell and Aubrey Hobbs. Brown's were in charge. R. L. Griffin and family.
