Our Mountain Home
Mrs. Parie Griffin, 79, died at her home near Clairmont Springs in Clay County at 
4:20 Monday morning. She had been seriously ill for two weeks, although her 
health had been bad for several months. The funeral service will be held at 10 
o'clock Tuesday morning at Concord church. Interment will be in the church 
cemetery, Usrey conducting. Mrs. Griffin was born on February 8, 1854. She had 
lived in the Clairmont community practically all her life. Surviving are her 
husband. J. D. Griffin; two sons, Bonnie, of Millerville, and Walter of 
Talladega; and one daughter, Miss Audie Griffin, of Clairmont Springs.
