She bad been ill for two weeks or more but her condition was not considered serious, and her death was unexpected. Funeral services were held at Concord Church, at 11 o'clock Tuesday morning, Jan. 22nd with Rev. U. L. Higgins in charge assisted by Rev. J. L. Ingram. Interment was in the Concord cemetery directed by Blair. Miss Griffin was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Griffin and is survived by one brother, Barney Griffin and several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers were her nephews: Tenney Watts, Howard Watts, James Watts, Bill Griffin, J. O. Griffin and George Lacey. Honorary pallbearers were Felton Bolt, R. Y. Gilbert, Otto Gaither, W. W. Hill, Joe Whatley and R. M. Ussery. Flower girls were Alice Griffin, Helen Watts, Ruth Watts, Josie Dell Lacey, Effie Ree Lacey and Cludie Lacey.
