Ashland Progress
Mrs. Jennie Linton Griffin passed away at the Citizens Hospital in Talladega. Mr. 
and Mrs. Griffin raised their family in the Pleasant Grove community, moving to 
Talladega about three years ago. The funeral was held at Pleasant Grove, March 
5th with Revs. B. W. Mathews, R. E. Birchfield and Woodard of Roanoke 
officiating. She is survived by her husband, five daughters and three sons, two 
brothers and one sister. Six of the nephews were pallbearers. Interment was in 
the Pleasant Grove new cemetery. Usery of Talladega directing.
