She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jones and was married to Mr. C. D. Griffin on December 21st, 1902. To this union were born eight children four boys and four girls, all of whom are living. On November 22nd, 1918, the Death Angel visited this home and took Carrie away. She had been sick only a few days with influenza and pneumonia, which proved too much for her. 'Tis indeed a sad home with wife and. mother gone, for she was very much devoted to her family, never tiring in her efforts to contribute to the welfare and happiness of those she loved. She professed religion several ago but for some reason had never joined any church. Her remains were laid to rest on November 23rd at County Line church, Rev. W. M. Worthy conducting the funeral services, and now as God has seen best to take her away, may we all bow to His will and strive to meet her where there shall be no more parting. A. FRIEND.
