He had been desperately ill for several weeks, and death was not a surprise. Mr. Griffin lived in and around Lineville practically all his life enjoying the happiness of 71 years. He was born in Chambers County and came with parents, when quite small, to Clay living first near Mellow Valley and next at Carbon Mountain. His aged companion and two adopted children survive him. Funeral services will be held the Baptist church with Rev. Driskell and Smylie Interment will be in the Lineville cemetery Friday.
