Ashland Progress
George Walter Grizzle was born December 6, 1855, died May 14, 1931, being 75 
years old. He is survived by his wife, Josie Rainwater Grizzle, and seven 
children. Mrs. May Mattox, Jay, Florida; John W. Grizzle, Little Rock, Ark.
Turie and Drumond Grizzle, Ashland, Ala., Mrs. Ora Ogles, Sylacauga, Ala., Mrs. 
Connie Mattox, Millerville, Ala. and Miss Beulah Grizzle, Ashland, Ala. Also, 
several grand-children and two brothers, Pete and Fonzy Grizzle of Ashland Ala.
Elder B. B. Finley of Goodwater, officiated, assisted by Elder J. N. Services; 
were held at Mt. Zion church. Interment was made the Zion cemetery with Blair in 
charge. Pallbearers were: R.M. Ray, C.W. McKay, A.L. Hardegree, Ike Lowe, Love 
Upchurch and Barto Wallace
