Ashland Progress
Miss Daisy Hallman, oldest daughter of Mr. W. D. Hallman, died at her home two 
miles south of Ashland Sunday morning after a long illness. Her condition had 
been so serious for some time that her family and friends had abandoned all hopes 
of her recovery. Miss Hallman attended school in Ashland, was a member of the 
Ashland Baptist Church and had many friends who are grieved by her untimely 
illness and death. Funeral services were held at Lystra Church Monday at 10 a. 
m., conducted by Rev. W. C. Henson and Rev. F. J, Ingram, and the beautiful 
ceremony of the Order of Eastern Star was a part of the impressive service. Many 
Eastern Star members and other friends from Ashland were in attendance.
