Ashland Progress
Funeral services for Hubert Hallman, 43 years old. were held Sunday afternoon, 
Aug. 7, at Lystra Baptist Church. Rev. J. F. Hodnett, conducted the service, 
assisted by Dr. E. M. Causey. Blair directed, interment was in the adjoining 
cemetery. Mr. Hallman died Friday night after several weeks illness, both in the 
hospital in Birmingham and at his home here. He worked for Alabama Power Company 
for several years. He was burled with full Masonic honors at the graveside. 
Masons served as pallbearers. Surviving are the wife and eight children.
