Lineville Headlight
A terrible tragedy occurred, about 2 l/2 miles north of town Thursday afternoon 
when Wyatt Hallmark, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. Jehu Hallmark, shot and 
killed his little cousin Irby Hallmark, the little son of Mr. and Mrs. George 
Hallmark. The little boys were playing with a loaded gun and. the shooting is 
said to have been accident.  The head of little Irby Hallmark was literally blown 
off. Mr. George Hallmark, the father of the little boy who was killed, was in 
Lineville at the time of the tragedy. Neither of the little boys was over 10 or 
12 years of age. No other person was in the house where the little boys were when 
the shooting occurred.
