Funeral services were held this morning at 10 o'clock at McDaniel's Chapel with Rev. J. L. Ingram officiating, Blair directing. The deceased is survived by four sons: Monroe Hamil, Melvin Hamil, and Herman Hamil of Langdale, and Frank Hamil of Millerville; two daughters, Mrs. Henry Caldwell of Langdale, Mrs. Curtis Rutland of Tallassee; one brother, Ira L. Roberts, of Pyriton; three sisters, Mrs. B. R. Hughes, of Rockmart, Ga. Mrs. R. M. Creed, of Jay, Fla. Mrs. J. M. George, of Wadley. She is also survived by four half-brothers, Odis, of Fairfax; Edward, of the U.S. Navy; Wallace of Rock Stand; Percy, of Florida; and two half-sisters, Mrs. C. M. Whatley, of Fairfax, and Mrs. Jessie Lee Green, of Alexander City.
