Anniston Star
Silvin H.  Hamlin, 78, of Delta Rt. 1, died Wednesday at his home following an 
extended illness. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Union 
Baptist Church, with the Revs. D. Hurst and O. D. Parker officiating. He is 
survived by the widow, Mrs. Fannie Hamlin, two daughters, Miss Overa Hamlin of 
Delta, and Mrs. Nettie Halter of Santo, Calif.; three sons, Robert H. Hamlin of 
Delta, Cecil Hamlin of Selma and William H. Hamlin of Norfolk, Va.; one sister, 
Mrs. Molly Hampton of Anniston; 15 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. 
Mr. Hamlin was a native off Clay County.
