R. Hamlin died at her home in the northern part of Ashland on last Saturday night, following a brief illness. About sixteen years ago Mrs. Hamlin fell and broke her hip and since that time she has not been able to walk. She has used a rolling chair to make her way about the home. The deceased was 77 years of age and is survived by the husband, three sons: Otho Hamlin of Bemiston, Ed and Harlan Hamlin of Ashland, and one daughter, Mrs. Vachal Dean of Glencoe. Funeral services were held at the home Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. F. J. Ingram, assisted by Rev. J. F. Ray, after which the remains were carried to the Ashland cemetery for burial, Blair in charge. The pallbearers were Robert Collier, Ozear Hamlin, Clarence Dean.
