M. Smith, was born Sept. 2, 1894. She was married to Arthur Hanner in April. 1910. Genie was a bright, noble hearted girl. In August 1907, she was happily converted. She gave her heart and life to her Lord and joined the Pleasant Grove Baptist church. She was a faithful member, ever at her place in church and Sunday school. In the beginning of young womanhood, she was taken very ill with fever, from which she lingered for more than five weeks. On last Friday, July 7th, the death angel's summons came. During her sickness she was constantly in sweet converse with her God. She leaves a father and mother, two brothers, two sisters, the young husband and a great host of associates and friends to mourn her death, but none of us grieve after her as one that has no hope, for we realize that she has a home eternal in the skies. Her remains were laid to rest in Shiloh Cemetery July 8th. Funeral services were conducted by the writer B.M.
