She had resided continuously at the same place for a period of 65 years and was not only one of the oldest, but also one of the best and most beloved women of her community. She had been a widow about 37 years, her husband having died in 1878. Mrs. Hanson reared a family of five children, one of whom, Mrs. W. M. Driver, is a resident of this city. Three sons, Milton Hanson, William Hanson and Jess Hanson and another daughter, Mrs. A. Y. Brewer, all reside near the line of Clay and Tallapoosa counties in the community where she lived, died, and was laid to rest in the family burying ground.
