Ashland Progress
Mrs. Ruby Hanson, wife of A. Q. Hanson, died at her home in the southern part of 
the county on Friday, the 5 day of April 1918. She was 57 years of age and was 
the mother of eight children, four sons and four daughters. Mrs. Hanson was a 
consecrated Christian woman, a noble mother and a true and faithful wife. She had 
been a loyal member of the Baptist church for more than 20 years. During her 
illness she several times expressed herself as being resigned to her master's 
will and ready to die, Funeral services were held Sunday at Bethel church, where 
she was a member, and were conducted by Rev. W. M. Worthy. The bereaved family 
have the sympathy of many friends.
