M. Hanson, an old and highly esteemed citizen of the county, died at his home near Bethel Saturday, January 12 He was 81 years, 11 months and 12 days of age. He had been in ill health for about two years. He was a lifelong citizen of that community. He was loved by all who knew him. The love and respect of the community was shown by the beautiful floral offerings, and a large number of friends at tending the funeral service. Funeral services conducted by Elder H. H. Goodman and Rev. Truman Burgess were held Monday at Bethel church, He is survived by his wife and six daughters, Mrs. W. H. Kennedy, Mrs. R. M. Kennedy, Mrs. L. B. Parrish, Mrs. J. O Padgett, Mrs. J. C. Green and Mrs. T. B. Green. He had 29 grandchildren and 19 great- grand-children. Loving hands did all they could do for him, but God knew best and took him home to rest. May God's tenderest care be manifested toward his wife and children. The community will feel his absence.
