He had not been in vigorous health for some time but continued to go about his usual work till the night of his death. He was a member of one of the old families of that part of the county and was held in high esteem by his neighbors and fellow citizens. Funeral services, conducted by Revs. W. M. Garrett, T. D. Dawkins, and H. R. McCoy, were held Sunday at Bethel church of which he had been a leading member some fifteen or twenty years and his remains were interred in the Bethel cemetery. The deceased was the youngest of a family of five brothers and sisters and is the first to be called hence. Of his own family seven sons and three daughters survive him. His wife died about three years ago One daughter is also dead. He was a brother of Mrs. W. M. Driver of Ashland and the father of J. F. Hanson who also resides near Ashland.
