Ashland Progress
Edwin Hanson, age 83 years died Wednesday, Nov. 12, at the home of his niece, 
Mrs. J W. Patterson near Bluff Springs, and his remains were interred in Bethel 
cemetery the following day, Rev. W. M. Garrett of this city conducting the 
funeral service. Mr. Hanson belonged to one of the oldest families in the Bethel 
community, where he spent most of his life and was one of its best citizens. His 
wife died about twenty years ago and since that time he made his home with some 
of his relatives He was an uncle of our townsmen, G. W. and S. Sentell. whom he 
often visited and formed acquaintances and' friendships among Ashland people.
