She was the mother of State Trooper Sgt. E. E. Hardegree with the Anniston office. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Spring Hill Baptist Church with the Revs A. A. Jacobs, Walker Dean and Charles Jordan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Blair Funeral Home in charge. She is survived by seven sons, Ernest of Anniston, Edwin of Forest Park. Ga., Bryce of Irondale, John of Omaha, Neb., Robert of Philippine Islands, Lamar of Fort Myers, Fla., and Lewis of Atlanta; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Haywood of Ashland and Mrs. Sarah Mulkey of Atlanta, sisters, Mrs. Fred Compliment of Gadsden and Mrs. Edgar Williamson of Ashland, and 13 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Buford Griffin, John Morgan, Carl Mattox, Douglas Horn, Wilson Baird and Robert Dunaway. Mrs. Hardegree had lived in Clay County all her life and was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
