He was taken ill August 15 it seems that chances were very slim for his recovery, but he met death without a sigh or regret, and calmly stated more than once that he felt all right in the spirit ana finally passed away with the same feeling. The people of Ofelia, both old and young will miss Bro. Frank very much as he was one of the most excellent singers of our community, he was a [unreadable] with an organ and a great love of music. Brother Frank was also a member of the U. 0. F. society of Ofelia. he was in me organization and did much to benefit the lodge during his stay with us he will be missed greater there than anywhere else with the young men, as he acted as clerk for a number of months and when we all formed a ring for prayer before dismission there was someone to begin a song and Bro. Frank was always ready to begin in low soft tones until it was picked up by the other members and wafted in mellow tones away. He sung with feeding the members of this society will miss him much, Bro. Frank was a member of the Christian Church at New Harmony and did much work in the way of singing, his relatives and friends are much bereaved over the loss of such a bright intelligent young man with the possibilities before him like they were in this case, we never realize one's worth till they have taken their flight and then it is too late. May God bless the family and comfort them in their bereavement, is my praper.
