J. N. Floyd, pastor, assisted by Mr. W. B. Nolen and Rev. Christian of Birmingham. Interment was in the city cemetery. Mrs. Harris passed away early Monday morning. She had been in poor health many years. She, with her had lived in the Macedonia community most of their married life where they reared their family. Because of the fact that neither she nor Mr. Harris were able to carry the activities of the home, they moved to Birmingham about two years ago to reside with their son, Linton, and family where she was at the time of her death. Mrs. Harris was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Willis. Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Lenton of Birmingham, two daughters, Mrs. Verdel Brown of Guntersville, and Mrs. Fred White, and two sisters, Mrs. Ralph Smith of Alexander City, and Mrs. Echard Palmer of Gadsden, and six brothers: J. P. Willis of Guntersville, V. F. Willis of Talladega, Alton Willis of Ashville, Pruet and Huron Willis of Birmingham, and Bennett Willis of Gadsden.
