Ashland Progress
Charles Harris, 46 years old, died from a heart attack at Lineville Hospital 
Monday morning. His home was near Lineville. Funeral services were held at 
Macedonia Church, Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. B. B. Finley and Rev. 
Shaddix of Talladega officiated with Blair directing. Pallbearers were brothers 
and brothers-in-law. Honorary pallbearers were members of Ala. Power Company 
force. Mr. Harris had worked with the Alabama Power Co. over 20 years He was 
general foreman of the Maintenance crew of Clay County. He had lived in Lineville 
for several years. He was a devoted Christian and active church member. He is 
survived by his wife, two sons, and a daughter.
