Ashland Progress
The body of Napoleon Harris, 21-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Harris of 
Sikesville, was brought home from oversea last weekend. He died in China Aug. 23, 
1946. Funeral services were held Monday at Sikesville with Rev. O. C. Nichols 
officiating. Rev. M. M. Kennedy assisted him. A detachment of the Roanoke 
National Guard Unit conducted a military service at the grave. Pallbearers were 
Luellen Hodnett William Knight, Howard Williams, T. W. Moncus, Herbert Raughton 
and Heflin Caldwell. Surviving besides the parents are a sister, Mrs. Mildred 
Jones, and a brother, B. W. Harris, all of Sikesville community. Blair Funeral 
Home directed the services.
