Resolution of the Baptist S. S. at Millerville, Ala. on the death of Mr. J. W. 
Hawthorne Thereas, it has pleased God in his wisdom and goodness to take from us 
our beloved brother on Aug. 4, 1895 and whereas Bro. Hawthorne had been a 
faithful and consecrated member of the Baptist church, and regular attendant at 
the Sunday school therefore be it resolved That in the death of Bro Hawthorne 
this S.S. has lost one of its most earnest workers. that while we sorrow among 
our elves the lose of our brother we deeply sympathize with the bereaved wife and 
children, and commend them to God who alone can comfort them in their grief....
